Day 01: Capetown
On Arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Cape Town often referred to as “the Mother City”. Founded in 1652 by the Dutch as a revittalling station for their ships en route to and from the East Indies, Cape Town is dominated by Table Mountain, a world heritage site. Rest of the Afternoon is free at leisure / shopping. O/N CAPETONIAN HOTEL or Similar WITH BB
Day 02: Capetown
After breakfast, this morning depart for Tour of Cape point – Cape Point: depart on a full day tour to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, the most South Westerly point of the continent of Africa. Sir Francis Drake, the explorer, called it “the fairest Cape that we saw in the whole circumference of the globe.” At Hout Bay take a short boat ride to see the Seal Colony.
After the visit to Cape Point return via False Bay with a stop at Boulder’s Beach to see a breeding colony of Jackass Penguins. Visit the historic Manor House of Groot Constantia, originally established by Simon van der Stel in the late 17th century, before driving to the world famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a walk through the gardens in their magnificent setting against Table Mountain. Table Mountain is optional and weather permitting Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Day 03: Capetown – Johannesburg - Sun City
After breakfast Checkout you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. [Flights not included]On arrival you will be met and transferred Sun City.
Two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg .This entertainment Mecca is known worldwide, thanks to its staging of lavish extravaganzas, including golf tournaments, several Miss World Pageants and rock concerts.
There are 4 hotels, each with its own swimming pool, ranging from the Palace Hotel to the Cabanas Hotel. There are also dozens of leisure activities, for example, spend a day at the "Valley of Waves" (which forms part of Sun City and is included in the price) with its palm trees and a man-made sea complete with waves and beaches, waterfalls one can slide down in tubes and many other hair-raising rides and slides. Catch the “earthquake” on the “Bridge of Time” or try your luck at the casino For an extra charge, there is windsailing or paragliding on the lake, horseback riding, African elephant back riding, quad bikes, clay pigeon shooting, hot air ballooning and other activities. Near the main entrance is the Kwena Crocodile Farm (check the feeding time with the concierge) There are also tennis courts, squash courts and 2 golf courses (green fees are payable.) Day 04: Sun City
After breakfast the day is at leisure. Optional: Pilanesberg: The open vehicle game drive in the nearby Pilanesberg Game Reserve is an experience not to be missed. Home to over 10 000 animals this park is one of the great success stories of rehabilitation of farming land and restocking of wild animals. Set within the crater of an extinct volcano the park covers some 55 000 hectares. During your game drive, lead by a knowledgeable ranger guide you may well see lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and the elusive leopard. Apart from the Big Five, there is a variety of antelope such as the stately sable, kudu, oryx and eland, the largest antelope species. There are also giraffe, zebra, hippo and over 300 bird species. Day 05: Sun City – Gold Reef - Johannesburg
After breakfast checkout, transfer to Johannesburg enroute visit Gold Reef city also known as “Egoli – the City of Gold” Visit Gold Reef City, situated 6km South of the centre of Johannesburg.
Billed as “Africa’s greatest Entertainment Theme Park”, Gold Reef City is built around a real 19th century gold mine. The guided tours include a visit to level 5, ± 200 meters underground where one sees the early working conditions of the miners. Back on surface witness the pouring of a genuine bar of gold, see the replicas of the corrugated houses built by the miners, and visit the Mint housing one of the earliest mint machines. No tour would be complete without the thrill of African Tribal Dancing. For those so inclined there is a number of rides and swings – some for the brave at heart! – And a Victorian Fun Fair. Day 06: Johannesburg Departure
After breakfast checkout transfer to the airport for your flight Home take back warm memories of South Africa.
